Sprint: 400 yard swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Long Sprint: 800 yard swim, 29 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
THE COURSE
Swim Course
The swim will be in Ashwaubomay Lake, a man-made lake. A buoy line will be available to rest on if needed and will serve as a guide for the finish point, which will have a huge balloon arch. The swim course will start at the north end of the lake, go out, circle around, and return to the north end of the lake. Long Sprint does two loops.
Bike
Course
The bike course heads out of the park heading south on Broadway and quickly heading west on Parkview to Glory Road out to Packerland Drive. The route continues into the town of Hobart and returning on Grant Street /Hwy EE back to Glory Road and returning to the park. Miles marked every 5th mile. Elevation map will be coming soon!
Run
Course
The run follows out of Ashwaubomay Park and heads north on Broadway turning around near the National Railroad Museum and returning on Broadway back to the park. Course is very flat. Long Sprint continues past the National Railroad Museum.

WHAT MIDWEST SPORTS EVENTS PROVIDES
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events. Participants receive a
DRI WICK SHIRT, goody bag, chip timing, swim cap, food and fun after the event.
There will also be plenty of water and replenishing drink
stations along the course.
Bike racks will have your race number and wave you start in. Each mile on the run courses will be marked. All courses will have highly visible signage for each turn. The long bike course will have aid stations and bottle exchange.
Sign up early! The wave you are in is a first come first serve basis and is determined on how early you register.
Results will be posted after the event on our homepage and photos of the event will be

AWARDS
Awards will be given to the first overall female and male winners. Age group awards will be given to the top 3 males and females in 5 year increments: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95 and up. Awards to the top overall 3 relay teams, Athena and Clydesdale. Athena and Clydesdale division is scored separately from age groups and is optional to enter. Athena is female 150lbs+ and Clydesdale is male 200lbs+.

EVENT RULES AND INFORMATION
1.
The swim will be in Ashwaubomay Lake, a man-made lake. A buoy
line will be
available to rest on if needed and will serve as a guide for
the finish point, which

lake, go out, circle around the raft and return to the start
Long Sprint does two
loops. Swim temperature is typically in the 70s. Wetsuits are
allowed.
2. There is no time limit for the event.
3.
Bike course- NO MP3 players, IPODs, radios or headphones
allowed.
Run course- they are allowed.
4. Helmets and swim caps are mandatory.
5. Drafting is not permitted. Penalties will be enforced for drafting.
6. Please remove all equipment from the transition area after the Awards Ceremony.
7. Bike safety check weekend of the event. (optional)
8. Chip Pick-Up is during the registration times.
9. For safety reasons, we ask spectators to not follow your
athlete in the car.
The best place to watch is at the transition area and
the finish line.
10.Course Closes: 4 hours and 15 minutes
after the start of the race
and will be open to traffic. Any
participants left on the course will still be
allowed to finish but
you will need to yield to traffic.
11.Transition will close 15 minutes prior to the start of the event, at 6:45 a.m.
12.We do not give refunds nor do we transfer fees from one race to another.
*Note: Midwest Sports Events has an unmarked security guard watching Transition at all times to protect and secure your equipment during the event. We do need all bikes removed after the award ceremony so our staff can begin tear down.
VOLUNTEER
Get a front row seat as a volunteer! Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help with participant body marking, directing athletes on and off the course, and handing out water and food. All volunteers receive a t-shirt, food during the race and a big thank you!!!
